Pressure Washing in Southshore Bay, Wimauma

Southshore Bay is among the newest of the Wimauma communities, built around the Metro Lagoon that gives the neighborhood its character. Because the housing stock is recent, the cleaning work here skews preventive rather than corrective — which is the cheaper end of this trade to be on.

The first house wash is the item most often deferred too long. New stucco looks fine for a couple of years, then the shaded elevations start to dull, and by the time it is obviously green the staining has begun to set into the texture. Getting ahead of that keeps every subsequent wash easier.

Paver work is the other concentration here. Lanais and pool decks are common throughout the community, and homes with pool-deck pavers near the lagoon area deal with additional splash-out and chemical exposure. That is worth mentioning on the callback because it affects which sealer makes sense.

Screen enclosures follow the same annual rhythm as the rest of Wimauma — a cleaning after pollen season keeps the lanai usable as living space rather than as a green-tinted pass-through.

The Southshore Bay year

The lagoon shapes how this community uses its outdoor space, and that shows up in the cleaning schedule. Pool decks and lanais see heavy use through spring and summer, which means the sensible window for paver work is the shoulder season on either side rather than the middle of it.

Sealing timing is the practical constraint. Pavers have to be fully dry before sealer goes on, so the drier months from roughly November through April are considerably easier to schedule than August, when afternoon storms can push a sealing date repeatedly.

House washing follows the standard Wimauma rhythm, with the wet season doing most of the work on stucco between June and September. Because the homes here are new, a late-spring wash is preventive rather than remedial.
